Biotin has been found to be beneficial to hoof growth and strength and is thought to be of particular importance to the hoof surface membrane, the periople, which controls the natural passage of water in and out of the hoof. However pure Biotin is not fully utilised by the horse, unless it is fed in conjunction with methionine and zinc. Hence NAF Biotin contains these nutrients, together with MSM.
